Last week was our first #italianwednesday (still trying to think of a good hashtag, suggestions welcome!) and we made a tasty ragu which we paired with the @hallwines Ellie’s Cabernet Sauvignon. It was a great way to kick off our at home cooking series which we started to keep the week interesting and give us something to look forward to other than Friday. While dining in we still supported local: pasta from @delaurentifoodandwine in @pikeplacepublicmarket , meat from @donandjoesmeats , veggies from the local vendors in Pike Place Market. The Ellie’s was a perfect pairing. Still strong and robust like a good cab with lots of layers that continued to open up with every bite, but also delightful on its own.
