
#tbt to our dry aged porterhouse from @donandjoesmeats in @pikeplacepublicmarket . While everything is closed we are trying to treat ourselves to fun, delicious meals at home. While we have been experimenting with new recipes, sometimes it’s nice to splurge on a nice cut of meat, cook it to perfection (in @lodgecastiron ) and pair with a delicious red wine. We paired this one with a Cabernet from @paradigmwinery and it was certainly big enough to stand up to the rich steak. An amazing wine, big and velvety with many layers, and nice tannins. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of lazy boring dinners that we make, but we have a whole winter ahead of us so cheers to keeping it interesting.
